What is the mode of the conference (soft launch)?
ICEM 2021 (soft launch) will be held via a virtual webinar platform. The grand conference (ICEM 2023) will be physically held on campus.
Yes, by registering in groups of min. 3 pax and above with participants from the same university/institution, the group registration will be entitled to a 10% discount as a whole. This discount excludes keynote speaker. Kindly refer to Registration for more details about registration fees and discounts.

Each registration entitles to a maximum of two (2) abstract/presentation (limited to one oral presentation and one poster presentation)
The submission of an abstract does not indicate automatic inclusion into the Conference Program. All abstracts will undergo a review process by the committee taking into account the quality of each abstract and the balance of the program. Our symposium chairs will decide if the abstract is selected for oral or poster presentations. All of the accepted abstracts will be included in the conference program.
You may opt to publish your extended work in the form of proceedings to SCI-indexed and Scopus-indexed Materials Today: Proceedings. Please note that manuscripts shorter than 3 pages cannot be accepted. All authors must use the editorial management system to submit their manuscript. All papers must be original and peer-review is mandatory. It is important to ensure that you have not published any prior work in any journals. There is NO article processing charge (APC) for publishing your extended work in Materials Today: Proceedings. It is a traditional subscription-based publishing system.

Papers submitted will be considered for publication in special issues. All special issues will be by invitation only and the deadline for paper submission will be announced in the invitation letter.  All of the papers submitted to this special issue will be subjected to strict peer review process similar to the normal submission process. Only those that meet the typical journal standards will be published.

For authors who are interested in any of the special issues, please contact the Guest Editor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wee-Jun ONG ( for further queries. In the e-mail, kindly provide the tentative title of your article, name of authors and affiliations, proposed abstract (200-250 words), and also the tentative manuscript submission.

No additional publication fees will be incurred by opting for traditional subscription-based publishing option. In the event of open-access, the cost will be borne by the authors. Hence, we welcome participants to actively submit the accepted abstract to Materials Today: Proceedings by adhering to the journal guidelines.
Poster presentation will be carried out virtually using the online virtual platform. More updates will be provided in due course.
