Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is the first overseas campus set up by a renowned Chinese university and the first Chinese university branch campus in Malaysia. XMUM aspires to become a university with a distinct global outlook, which features first-class teaching and research, and embraces cultural diversity.
Xiamen University China
Xiamen was the first university in China founded by a member of the overseas Chinese diaspora. It is now a well-ranked university directly administered by the Chinese Ministry of Education and recognized as one of the 36 "Class A" institutions in the Double First Class University Plan.
Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory
Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory (IKKEM) was established on September 10, 2019. It is co-sponsored by Xiamen Municipal Government and Xiamen university which strives to become a national strategic support for science and technology in the field of energy materials. As a multidisciplinary innovation platform, it focuses both on groundbreaking research, and transfer of science and technology for society's use.
