Materials for Wearable Devices, Flexible Electronics and Artificial Intelligence

Symposium Scope

Increasing needs in automation and interconnectivity between devices in healthcare, communication, consumer services, security, ecological monitoring, and various other sectors are promoting paradigm developments in big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), and, all of which are closely intertwined with wearable and flexible consumer electronic devices. This symposium will represent a unique opportunity to bring together a panel of highly accomplished experts in these interdisciplinary fields to deliver and discuss recent research outcomes including but not limited to material synthesis, design issues, and future applications of electronic textiles, smart wearable devices and flexible or printable electronics. Technology transfer issues in IoT and AI are particularly relevant for new classes of high-tech materials and products. This symposium is also very keen on devoting a special session on this topic, addressing the challenges and the opportunities faced by the academic and industrial sectors to meet the needs of scaling prospects for product development, making the leap from lab to market.
